Q1.3. Working wih list and data finmes in R:
a) Consider the following datn set:
Create a list named tree data by using the above data set. The list will have three elements viz
Tree number i.e., an ordered factor indicating the tree on which the measurement is made. The
ordering is according to increasing maximum diameter. Tree age le., a numeric vector giving the
age of the tree (days since 1968/12/31) and Tree circumference Le., a numeric vector of trunk
circunferences ( mm ). This is probably "circumference at breast height", a standard measurement
in forestry.
Exract the Tree age and Tree circumference from the list obtained in step I.
Cakubte the tree wise Minimum, Maximum, Mean and Standard Deviation of Circumference.
Can we say the averge circumference of tree 3 is more than average circumference of tree 5.
b) Create a data frame using the following data for some 20 vegetables at a supermarket sold in a
month.
The names of the vegetables (in order) are as follows:
Eggplant, Pea, Cucumber, Potato, Pumpkin, Lettuce, Tomato, Sweet potato, Mushroom, Green bean,
Corn, Caulffower, Beetroot, Bell pepper, Broccoli, Celery, Cabbage, Carrot, Onion, Lady figure
Perform the following:
Add these names, as the row names of the above data frame.
Calculate the revenue for each vegetable and is proportion in the total revenue.
Add the abel, geen", where I is written and the label, other.color", where 2 is written.
Cakculte the difference between ,green" color vegetables and ,other.color" vegetables
Replace the label, pther.color" by ,not.green".
extract all the rows where, notgreen" is appeared,
