It's acceptable to estimate about ten participants for the survey instead of using actual participants.

- Decide on two variables that you think might be relevant. A sample list of variables follows. Formulate a hypothesis that explains how and why you expect these variables to be related to the problem. Clearly describe the mechanism that links these two variables and identify which is the independent variable and which is the dependent variable. - Discuss how you will test your hypothesis. You may need to have others (class members or your own friends and family) answer questions or conduct experiments. - You will need to confirm with me that the hypothesis is testable and appropriate for the situation. - Collect data by surveying others in the class or outside the class. You will need to get data from at least 10 people, but generally the more the merrier. See below for instructions on how to contact others in the class. - Use this data to test your hypothesis. Then create a poster.
