Q. Which risks require a contingency plan and explain the reasons why.
Project: Save the Library
New Holland is a city of 35,000 residents located on the west coast of Oregon near the ocean. It is the largest city in the county and has the countys only schools and only public library.
About 6 years ago, the towns library was damaged in a storm. All the books in the library about 20,000 in all were destroyed along with major damage to the roof and one wall.
For your project, you will restore the citys library. You will need to have fundraisers, fix the roof and one wall, paint the inside of the building, restore the restrooms, install shelving and 10,000 books, install a computer system, a check out desk, and anything else that needs to be done to get the library working again.

1 PROJECT CHARTER The project charter defines the scope, objectives, and overall approach for the work to be completed. It is a critical element for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and assessing the project. It should be the single point of reference on the project for project goals and objectives, scope, organization, estimates, work plan, and budget. In addition, it serves as a contract between the Project Team and the Project Sponsors, stating what will be delivered according to the budget, time constraints, risks, resources, and standards agreed upon for the project. 2 PROJECT SPONSOR AND PROJECT MANAGER Cheryl Walker will serve as the Project Sponsor and Haruka Wakui will serve as the Project Managers. 3 PROJECT BUSINESS CASE The purpose of this project is to implement repairs to the New Holland library to allow it to reopen; The library is located in the largest city on the west coast of Oregon.
