SITUATION As the IT staff of Keng Wah & Co., Ms. Anna Zee had recently purchased five Acer notebooks from Home Electrical Goods in Subang Jaya for her firm. However, after two months of usage, two of the notebooks malfunctioned. Seeing that this happened during the warranty period, Ms. Anna Zee decided to take the notebooks back to Home Electrical Goods to get them repaired. However, her encounter with the technician at Home Electrical Goods was very disappointing and frustrating. She decided to write a letter to the Director of Home Electrical Goods, Mr. Richard Chow, to report the entire incident and to ask for an immediate solution. Below is the letter that she had written. Dear Boss of Home Electrical Goods, I bought five Acer notebooks from your store two months ago and suddenly one day, while we were in a very important meeting, two of the notebooks stopped working (see attachment for proof of purchase). I took the notebooks back to your shop, and the technician tested and reformatted the notebooks without checking with me first or backing up the data and then gave me RM 50.00 bill and asked me to pay How can? Your technician firstly didn't ask for my permission and reformatted my notebooks and now my company has lost so many important documents. How you want to compensate for our loss of data? Secondly, my notebooks are still under warranty so why charge me money when it is your company that sell me bad products? Of course I refused to pay and asked the technician why he reformatted without asking for my permission first. That's when he started shouting at me. Only after I demanded to see the manager did the technician stop his shouting. Everyone was looking at me, and this made me feel very embarrassed. And guess what? The two laptops have stopped working again I think you really don't know how to hire qualified technicians, and your staff show very poor customer service. So now how? What are you going to do to help me? I am very angry in this situation. If you don't help me solve the problem immediately, I will report to the police and tell everyone on Facebook Ms. Anna Zee IT Department
