Please write 3-4 sentences describing an important question or problem within your major or area of interest. (economics or golf) State this issue or problem clearly and make sure it is something you could test in an experiment. Example: If you are in sociology, your question could be: "does improving education across the country reduce the number of individuals in jail?"

Create an experiment that could answer your question. Explain in 4-5 sentences how this method will help you answer your question. Note: Experiments are controlled, planned-out ways of testing questions in your environment. In your experiment you should have two groups: one group you change (an experimental group), and one group you do not change (a control group). Example: In the sociology question above, you would manipulate education by giving your experimental group a better education (you changed something for this group). You would let your control group continue getting the same level of education (this group remains unchanged). Then, you would compare how these groups are different ten years later and see if your question is answered (did improving education for the experimental group reduce the number of individuals in jail?)
