Figure 3 (a) represents a stapler assembly. There are 13 parts in the existing design of the stapler. With the implementation of DFMA guidelines the design of the stapler has been simplified to become only 7 parts (Figure 3(b)). Discuss the changes that has been made in order to improve the design and relates the changes with DFMA guidelines.
