Lindy Konko has just qualified at a TVET College in Business Administration, and has been
appointed two days ago in her first job as Departmental Assistant in the Provincial Government
Department of Trade and Industry, Northwest Province.
Lindy has spent the last two days in training, and was supposed to finish another three days
in training, but then got called out of training by her manager, Zola Zulu. Julia, another very
experienced Departmental Assistant, fell ill and had to be hospitalised. Later today there will
be an important meeting in the department, with the Director and seven senior managers,
about the provinces uemployment statistics that were published previously. Julia was meant
to compile the report, but cannot do it now because of her illness. Zola asked Lindy if she was
prepared to compile the report on Julias behalf.
Lindy only has Julias notes to guide her when writing the report.
