question : critically analyize this response by your class mate.
Refering to Figure 11-2 in the Organizational Behavior textbook, the reasons for team failure I have experienced are poor interpersonal chemistry and lack of trust. I believe poor interpersonal chemistry happens often in group work because individuals differentiate greatly in many areas. Cohesiveness is a process whereby " a sense of 'we-ness' emerges to transcend individual differences and motives (Kreitner, p. 348). Some steps I can take to enhance group cohesiveness and interpersonal chemistry would be encouraging interaction and cooperation, channel each group member' special talents toward the common goals, and frequently remind group members that they are needed and their work is appreciated (Kreitner, p.349).
A conscious culture builds trust and personal relationship between a company's team members. This would happen by incorporating accountability, loyalty, fairness, and personal growth (Conscious Capitalism, 2019). I am lucky enough that I work on a team where we enjoy eachother's time and try to work on building our relationship with eachother daily. Some ways we accomplish our interpersonal growth is by attending monthly team lunches or even plan fun events we can all participate in on our off days a few times a year. This helps us get to know eachother better and makes us more comfortable talking with each other at work.
