Scenario-Teachers in a suburban school district have completed a validated survey called the DET Needs instrument to determine and assess their needs concerning design, engineering, and technology (DET) education

Problem: The problem is that teachers lack the appropriate training and resources to incorporate DET in the elementary classroom.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to determine the suitable and adequate training and materials to use to implement DET in elementary classrooms.

**Question-Am I understanding of independent and dependent variables correctly?

The independent variables in this study are the years of teaching experience. This is important because teaching experience can play a large part in a teacher's knowledge and skill set in the classroom. The dependent variables would be the importance of DET in the elementary classroom. Teachers who believe DET is necessary will have more student success than teachers who do not feel DET is necessary for the classroom

**Question-What statistical tests would be best to test these hypotheses?

H₀: There is no statistically significant difference between teachers who have weekly training during the course of the year and teachers who do not have weekly training during the course of the year in confidence level to implement DET in elementary classrooms.

H₁: There is a statistically significant difference between teachers who have weekly training during the course of the year and teachers who do not have weekly training during the course of the year in confidence level to implement DET in elementary classrooms.
