Tesco also has hired an International Sourcing team composed of more than 1000 people in 20 different countries. Tesco says that their success depends on their employees and customers; Tesco's business is built around them. Their staff team is made of 492,000 employees.

This case study focuses on the recruitment and selection processes of Tesco and shows us how Tesco can manage being the biggest employer in the UK while maintaining an efficient and effective HR management. HR planning identifies vacancies and then chooses the right person to fit it by analyzing the job description and specification. Their chosen method for attracting and recruiting is mostly internal. Tesco also uses evaluation and assessment centers through interviews in their selection process.
