But you are surprised to receive the information that your junior Mr.Hashim promoted as manager. You felt that there is discrimination in promotion. You friend advised you to bring the issue to the attention of top management. When Mr. Hashim promoted as manager of the Company you find that the Purchase Manager started buying inferior (low quality) quality materials for production and selling products that last about half the period the regular quality product can use; but the lower quality could not be detected by the buyer. When you discussed this matter to the purchase manager, he told you that he is following orders from top management. The company was having financial difficulties and had to cut costs.
