Read the following in-text citations. a. Identify if the in-text citation is a 1) Long, 2) Short Quotation, or 3) Paraphrase/Summary. (25p) b. In your own words, explain why. (25p) L"Experience alone is insufficient to be called experiential, it is the reflection process which turns experience into experiential education" (Frontczak, 1998, p. 25). 2 > Instead, the ePortfolio "is an intentionally designed instructional approach that, among other advantages, prompts students to periodically reflect on and deepen what they are learning and helps them connect and make sense of their various experiences inside and outside the classroom that taken together add up to more than the sum of their parts" (Eynon and Gambino, 2017, p. ix). Although many individual marketing professors may have found success incorporating these types of projects into their class (e.g. Hart Research Associates, 2015; Peet et al., 2011), what makes this curriculum-based program novel is that these projects would be required for a majority of the course offerings. Moreover, the content of one class is no longer presented in a vacuum, but rather course material is integrated between the various marketing classes that students might take. This will help students bridge the gap between individual courses so that they understand the big picture. 4 For example, Kosnik et al. (2013) investigated projects in Sport Management and Strategic Management courses where two faculty members volunteered to participate. Liang et al. (2016) examines an experiential learning project in an Introduction to Community Entrepreneurship course, and Wang and Fuller (2020) conducted a field experiment in a service learning Consumer Behavior course through the addition of an assignment partnering with local nonprofits. These results are also supported by a recent college student survey conducted by Crabtree (2019) which found that students who participated in multiple experiential learning opportunities were more likely to express confidence in employment prospecting after graduation.
