Unhealthy-

To make sure I understand, we will be 250,000 under budget and we need to cut costs. So closing the medical office is not an option? Some departments have several people on staff. My department has one case manager, but transitional housing has 2 people and one of them is a manager. Do we need a manager for one person? Healthy; Budgeting and finance are something that causes conflict amongst the staff. We need to have this hard conversation and look at ways to overcome this deficit without cutting services to the People First of San Diego. We must be proactive as we look to establish clear expectations about our services and finances. As our CEO mentioned there are a few options on the table, including requesting higher reimbursement from the insurance companies, stopping matching employees' retirement benefits, and increasing our sliding fee scale for our clients (Walden University, 2022). I agree we need to trim our budget and that may mean restructuring departments so as not to get rid of them. We do not want to close our doors. Closing the medical clinic is not an ideal option. The clinic is the bulk of our revenue, and our clients depend on these services. The therapy department has many Staff, this is true, but we cannot close this department because our clients depend on these services as well. I want to thank you all for speaking your minds. I want you to know this is a difficult task and I heard your concerns. How do you think we can restructure each role in every department without cutting services to our clients? Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to another productive meeting and more brainstorming as to how we can restructure our budget without cutting services.
