Recall the differences between the IIED claims in Dickerson v. Nichols, 161 Mich. App. 103, 108, 409 N.W.2d 741, 743 (1987) and Selph v. Gottlieb's Fin. Servs., Inc., 35 F. Supp. 2d 564, 570 (W.D. Mich. 1999). Create a own hypothetical where you think the plaintiff could successfully bring an IIED claims. After you create a hypo, identify the elements in question for the claim and apply the facts you created to the law. MAKE SURE you explain how each element is met!!!!
