Recommend new ideas for continuous improvement

After reviewing the system's performance and determining what is working and what isn't, think about ways to improve the situation and record recommendations in your report.

Questions

1.Read the suggestions for improvement to the system (Appendix 7).

2.For each suggestion, decide whether it will improve the system, employees' work practices and/or production and management processes. Conduct further research if necessary to inform your decisions.

3.Identify which suggestions you would implement, then develop recommendations based on those suggestions to improve the system.

Information appendix 7:

Provide a notification function in the system that alerts users when a new version of a document is uploaded and replaces the version currently in use.

Develop a more user-friendly frequently-asked-questions (FAQ) document that can be accessed outside the system and assists inexperienced users in accessing and navigating the system.

The current intranet information management system cannot be accessed easily with mobile devices. Some of the sales and production representatives use tablets in their presentations and client meetings, and suggest that the organisation mobilise the intranet interface so that the information management system is accessible to them when they are off-site.
