There are many examples of parabolas in my daily life such as flashlights, the use of my microwave oven, as well as the sight of a rainbow after a rainy day. This is seen in my community as well through the creation of bridges, satellite dishes, and fountains. It may also be seen in our food items such as bananas, Pringles or a slice of melon. What applications of parabolas would you like to see expanded in your daily life? I would love to see more parabolas in my community especially architecturally. I would also be interested to know which parabolic equations would be used for each project. I do believe fountains and bridges to be aesthetically pleasing as the add a certain feel to the environment around us. So I believe the use of parabolas through bridges and fountains would be beneficial to the community. Consider and discuss how the use of parabolas and quadratic equations would be different for people who are part of a different ethnic group or people from a different geological area. I believe that no matter what area of the world a parabola is used the outcome and application are all the same as math is utilized universally. This would be the same for the use of quadratic equations
