Sal has decided to mediate as a third party with two employees,

Kelly and Edie. Kelly is a home$-$based worker who comes to the

office only for an hour each week to attend the Friday morning

all$-$staff meeting. Edie works on$-$site, down the hall from Sal.

Kelly doesn't think the problem is serious, and doesn't want to

participate in mediation. One of Edie's complaints is that Kelly

lets an answering machine take messages while working on

projects that require intense concentration; this frustrates Edie,

who wants quick answers from Kelly.
