Scene: Mediation session in a conference room.

Joey: Good morning everyone, I'm Joey, the mediator. Thank you for coming today to try to resolve this dispute between MINT Creative Production and KSA Pavilion. To start, can each of you introduce yourselves and explain your role in this dispute?

Matthew: I'm Matthew, the CEO of MINT Creative Production. We were contracted to do theming works for the client's project, but there were delays and back charges that led to a dispute.

Jenly: And I'm Jenly, the project manager for the MINT team on this project. I've been handling the day-to-day operations and communication with the client.

Abujamous: I'm Abujamous, the client's representative. We hired MINT for the theming works, but there were delays and additional costs that we don't believe were justified.

Miguel: And I'm Miguel, the client's legal counsel. We've been in discussions with MINT about this dispute, but haven't been able to reach a resolution yet.

Joey: Thank you for the introductions. Before we begin discussing the issues in dispute, I want to emphasize that this is a voluntary and confidential process. Anything said in this mediation cannot be used against you in court, and the goal is to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Is everyone comfortable with that?

Sarah: Great. Matthew, Jenly, Abujamous and Miguel, I want to hear from each of you about your perspective on the dispute. Matthew, can you start?

Matthew: Sure. We had a contract with the client for theming works, but there were delays caused by factors outside of our control, like the Covid pandemic and delays in receiving approval from our own internal management. The client deployed their own manpower with high rates, which caused additional costs that we agreed to, but then the client stopped paying us until they could review the bills. And then there were back charges that we don't believe were justified.

Joey: Thank you, Matthew. Jenly, Do you have any additional information?

Jenly: Yes. From my perspective as the project manager, we did everything we could to keep the project on track despite the delays and additional costs. We communicated regularly with the client about the issues and tried to find solutions that were acceptable to both parties.

Joey: Thank you, Jenly. Abujamous, can you share your perspective?

Abujamous: We hired MINT to do a job, and we expected them to deliver on time and within budget. But there were delays and additional costs that we don't believe were justified. We deployed our own manpower because we couldn't afford any more delays, and we stopped paying MINT until we could review the bills and make sure they were accurate.

Joey: Thank you, Abujamous. Miguel, is there anything you want to add?

Miguel: As the client's legal counsel, I want to emphasize that we believe MINT breached the contract by failing to deliver on time and within budget. We're open to discussing a resolution, but we believe we have a strong case if this goes to court.

Joey: Thank you, Miguel. Now that we've heard from each of you, let's move on to discussing possible solutions. Matthew, do you have any proposals for how we can resolve this dispute?
