She is also works part-time at a clothing retail store to fund her studies. The retail store needs Lia to promote sales in view of the Hari Raya festival, thus Lia has been working extra hours at her part time job. Lia, on the other hand, needs the extra money from the job to pay for her upcoming semester's tuition fees and to fix her car so that she can drives home for long semester holidays. The pending holidays also means the end of her current semester and unfortunately the start of final examination. Lia simply does not have the time to do both, i.e. study for all her final examination papers and works the additional hours she needs. Lia has to sacrifice something and decides to pretend being sick on the day of her Business Ethic final examination paper, so that she can take the make-up examination the following week. This will give more time to study. She also knows that it will not be hard to get medical certification (MC) from the health clinic. Her friend Ammar, works at the clinic and will be able to provide her with a sheet of the clinic letterhead.
