Section C: Performance Activity - GROUP PROJECT: REFER TO INSTRUCTION ABOVE Objective: To provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate the required performance elements for this unit. A signed observation by either an approved third party or the assessor will need to be included in this activity as proof of completion. This activity will enable you to demonstrate your knowledge of the following performance evidence: Prepare job descriptions Use job descriptions to support sourcing, selecting and appointing suitable staf Use diferent advertising channels to promote vacancies and/or establish a potential talent pool Consult with managers to gain approvals Develop selection criteria and interview questions in consultation with relevant personnel 0OOO Schedule interviews and advise relevant people of times, dates and venues Participate in interviews and other selection techniques including assessing candidates against selection criteria to shortlist them Obtain referees' reports Prepare and distribute a selection report including feedback to give unsuccessful candidates 0OOOO Advise unsuccessful candidates of the results O Secure preferred candidate's agreement and provide an employment contract Advise other staf of the successful candidate and arrange induction. 1. Working in small groups, write a job description based on your role or the role of somebody within the group. Within the same group, produce a presentation explaining how you would use the job description to support the process of sourcing, selecting and appointment of suitable candidates, the advertising channels which you would use to establish a potential talent pool and promote the vacancy, and relevant consultation methods to gain approval from managers. 2. Continuing with the same group, produce selection criteria for the role outlined in the job description, and a list of 6 potential interview questions. 3.
