Server A is sending a file to Client B over TCP connection. After TCP handshake data segments
Question:
Server A is sending a file to Client B over TCP connection. After TCP handshake data segments are send in sequence. Consider the Maximum Segment Size as MSS, Window Size is W and Round Trip Time is RTT.
Scenario 1: Consider, the Segment size is too small and Acknowledgement has not received during timeout interval. Even though, server retransmit the segment with same Timeout period still acknowledgment not received. Suggest the modification required for TCP. Explain with Finite State Machine.
Scenario 2: Consider the transmission path between A to B is too congested and RTT is too large. How this affect the throughput and suggest some modification required for TCP. State your answer with Timeline diagram.
