Soil samples, used to obtain data for pH in this week's lab, were collected from the A horizon at the UBC Totem Research Field. The A horizon (as well as the rest of the soil profile) is coarse textured with about 80% sand, just 5% clay, and 2% organic matter. If samples were collected from a different site, with a soil that has about 20% sand, 30% clay, and 10% organic matter, would you expect to see greater or smaller difference between the 2 pH values relative to the coarse textured samples
