Solve with the numerical values from steam table please. ASAP plz.
A steam power plant operates on an ideal regenerative Rankine cycle with reheat.
The boiler delivers steam at 1400 psia and 1200. Some steam is extracted from
the high pressure turbine at 700 psia for the Closed FWH, is condensed and sent
through a trap to the condenser. The remaining steam exits the high pressure
turbine at 600 psia and is reheated to 1400F and then passes through the low
pressure turbine and into the condenser which operates at 5 psia. A trap is a
throttling device that drops the pressure of the fluid. See chapter 4 to determine
how to handle a throttling device.
a) Referring to the diagram below, draw and label the cycle and states on
a T-s diagram.
b) Calculate the thermal efficiency of the cycle.
c) Calculate the total energy output of the turbines per unit mass of
boiler steam flow (note, this is not work net).
