SECTION A (15 MARKS) There are TWO (2) questions in this section. Answer ALL questions in the Answer Booklet provided. Question 1 Figure 1 Universities are providers of higher education. They are supposed to be the training ground for future leaders and decision makers, a place where young minds are nurtured and talents are enhanced in a civilized and ethical manner. An incident which happened in 2017 in Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) however tainted the university's image. A student who was accused of stealing another's laptop was beaten and tortured with steam iron by his peers at the university's hostel instead of being reported to the university or to the police for the case to be handled legally. The student accused of theft, Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain passed away on June 1, 2017 with more than 90 burn marks on his body. A group of students were put on trial for the case and many shocking and disturbing facts were revealed during the long trial process including how the officers of the university did not respond favorably when two students tried to blow the whistle on Zulfarhan's condition after he was tortured on November 2, 2021 the Kuala Lumpur High Court finally found six students of the university guilty of causing death of Zulfarhan without murder intent and sentenced them to 18 years in prison Suppose UPNM wants to incorporate the elements of safety for everyone in campus and ethical behaviour among staff and students in its revised mission statement following the incident stated in Figure 1 above. a) Propose TWO (2) objectives for year 2022 for the university. One of the objectives is to reflect the safety element and the other should emphasize on ethical behaviour.
