Students are expected to devise thoughtful, actionable and impactful HR strategies with the following goals: Adjust HR practices to account for cultural nuances to: Encourage Indigenous Peoples candidacy for employment opportunities; Increase Indigenous Candidates success in seeking employment opportunities whilst maintaining the reliability and validity of selection practices; Retain and engage Indigenous Employees at the workplace. Students are required to prepare and present a strategic approach using the HR STAR Model in groups of four. Groups are required to go beyond superficial and broad recommendations and incorporate specific learnings and address unique challenges presented during the class, conduct additional resource and develop a robust, detailed and actionable plan. The findings should provide insight beyond the learnings from class.
