Students are responsible to complete a Project Management Plan based on the following case study: Your company, Super Games, requires you to be the Project Manager of the following project: you and your team will develop new hardware (game console) and software (game) for a game. The current date is January 1, 2021. The game will be released on December 31, 2021. You will need to assemble a project team of engineers (1 designer/1 mechanical), software developers (1 code writer/1 artist) and a marketing team (1 manager/1 customer service representative) to develop the game.

Activities include: 1. Create a project plan 2. Game design 3. Console design 4. Production 5. Develop a test plan 6. Game marketing 7. Game feedback 8. Change requests 9. Project completion You will need to interact with management, the production factory, local government and retailers during the term of the project. Note 1: This requires you to use your imagination or past experiences to fill in detail. Concentrate on the structure of your project as opposed to ensuring details are correct. Keep in mind no one develops a game in a year! Project Management Plan The project management plan must contain the following sections within it: 1. Introduction: purpose of the project management plan, project approach, and background of information available. 2. Goals and Objectives: Business goals and objectives, project goals and objectives. Organizational Structure: Describe the structure of the organization and provide a visual/image of the organizational structure/chart. 4. Project Team: Explain each team members role. 5. Project Life Cycle: Provide a visual image of the project life cycle and indicate what tasks, activities, and work will be done during each phase. 6. RACI Matrix: Design a RACI matrix for the project team. 7. Conflict Management: Explain how the team will manage conflict, which may take place within the team or project itself. 8. Communications Management: Describe how the team will plan communications management. Note 2: All projects must have the following: Cover page stating assignment title, instructors name, course and section, students first and last name, student number and date. Table of contents must be included. Address all 8 areas of the project management plan. Use of subheadings MLA format including in-text citations and a works cited page (must have a minimum of 5 different resources).
