3. Leadership training on a specific quality topic that has been discussed in the course; be sure the design is engaging. Follow principles of PowerPoint design if that is your chosen tool, and include speaker notes as appropriate.
4. An audit for evaluating/monitoring quality for your service; this might include a medical chart audit, inspection, testing of employees related to a specific topic, observation form, or billing audit. Consult with the faculty member for additional ideas if needed.
You should review your textbook as well as two-to-three articles about developing your selected tool (i.e.,
what makes a successful survey or quality audit). Include a one-page instruction sheet on how to complete
the tool (i.e., purpose, goals, scoring, instructions to patients, etc.) and explain how the tool will be used to
analyze quality (i.e., comparing satisfaction over two quarters, chart review accuracy for a year, pre/post-
test after training). Format: instruction sheet (12 pages; may be a letter to the individual to complete the
tool or a direction sheet for employees); tool (13 pages, depending on type); and summary of how will
use analyze and use data collected (12 pages).
