  1. Abdul Aziz Omer has signed a contract with Al Nasr football club to play for three seasons. Before making an appearance he is injured in a car accident and loses the use of his right leg, which has to be amputated.
  2. Precision Engineering Ltd. buys two large guillotines from Western Machines Ltd. The total cost is OR10,000. The machines are delivered on 1st of August and Precision Engineering settles the account in full by a cheque.
  3. The managing director of Al Shanfari Trading Company orders timber from a timber merchant, Timber Supplies Ltd, at a cost of OR9,000. However, owing to a downturn in trade, the managing director asks the timber merchant to be released from the contract and Timber Supplies Ltd. agrees.
