Study the details provided below and answer the following questions.
As part of the comprehensive examination of employees perception of quiet promotion practices at their place work and
how that influences their (i.e., employee) performance, you have gathered both qualitative and quantitative data from 20
employees of the selected JSE-listed technology companies. You are convinced that the data triangulation will enhance the
trustworthiness of the findings from the study.
Employees perception of quiet promotion responsibilities (such as being tasked with greater responsibility on the sly or the
situation where high-performing employees are given more work and responsibilities) were measured at the interval level. In
terms of employees perception of their quiet promotion responsibilities: 0 represents a perception of complete absence of
additional work and responsibilities and 10 represents the highest perception of being loaded with more work and
responsibilities. Furthermore, employee burnout rating was also measured at the interval level, where 0 indicates a
perception of complete absence of burnout and 10 indicates the highest possible perception of burnout at work. Table 4.1
is an excerpt of the data collected from the 20 employees.
