Task 3: A sequential circuit and its state diagram
[20]
A sequential circuit shown below has one input, X, and one output, Z, and two D-Flip-Flops, A and B,
and a clock input.
since i cannot provide an image i can explain the sequantial circuit,
so we have an input X which connects to a (not) gate, lets call this (C),(C) has one output which connects to a (nand) gate, lets call this (D), there are another two inputs from (D) one connects to a (nand) gate as one of the inputs, lets call that (nand) gate (E) and the other input from (D) connects to another (nand) gate as an input, lets call that (nand) gate (F),(E) has two inputs, one connects to (F) as an input and the other connects to a (or) gate which is the output of the whole circuit and this is represented by (Z), the outputs of (D),(E) and (F) all connect to another (nand) gate as the inputs, lets call this (nand) gate (G), now (G)s output connects to a D flip- flop which is represented by (A) then (A) is connected to another D flip-flop represented by (B), a clock is also connected from (A) to (B), now (F) other input connects inbetween the two D flip-flops, (A) and (B). finally (B) connects to (D) as an input, (B) also connects to one of the inputs of (Z) and (B) also connects to one of the inputs of (E).
now with that description,
(a) Give the state table for this sequential circuit.
(b) Draw the state diagram for this sequential circuit.
