Text messaging is not something invented within recent years. People send text messages everyday for numerous reasons. It is common belief that older people send longer texts but less frequently and younger generations send short texts frequently.

With the intension of testing this hypothesis, a research group has collected data from 27 randomly chosen people . Collected data include two variables:

• text: Number of text messages sent day before the data was collected.
• age: age of the subject.
