The attached auditing case study is a role-play of an external quality management system (QMS) audit carried out on XYZ Furniture Ltd. by a certification body represented by H White/P Dunne. XYZ Furniture Ltd. is represented by K Daly Production Manager and P Finnerty QA Manager. The QMS audit is being conducted against the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. The audit takes place as follows:

You are required to systematically work through the case study and identify quality nonconformities against the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. For each nonconformity you identify you must document the following:
Page/point number

Clause or sub-clause of ISO 9001:2015 against which the nonconformity is raised.
The following example illustrates how to document the audit nonconformities:
Page 2/point 3/4
Nonconformity: The Purchasing department or personnel are not referenced in the company's QMS documentation.
ISO 9001 clause against which nonconformity is raised: clause 5.3 Organisational roles, responsibilities and authorities: Top management shall ensure that the responsibilities and authorities for relevant roles are assigned, communicated and understood within the organisation.
Use the blank template provided to document all of your nonconformities. It is essential that you reference the page and point number against each nonconformity and detail the nonconformities in sequence starting with page 1 and working through to page 13.
