i) New Media Electronics (NME) is a medium-sized electronics distributor. NME would like to

convert its current computer-based inventory system to a new computer-based inventory system.

NME needs the conversion to be done quickly and with low cost. The current system had very

few errors but the new system has new features that management wishes to use. (2 marks)

ii) Eastern University needs to implement a new enterprise resource planning system (ERP). The

current information systems are a portfolio of old legacy systems that are not integrated. Eastern

University needs to implement the finance modules first, followed by the student module, the

human resources module, and the research module. Time is not a factor but each module has to

work properly. (2 marks)
