The GAC treatment process includes the following components:

1- Booster pumps for influent water

2- Contactors (either pressure vessels or concrete basins) that contain the GAC bed.

3- Tanks and pumps for backwashing the contactors.

4- GAC transfer and storage equipment.

5- Spent GAC reactivation/regeneration facilities.

6- Associated piping, valves and instrumentation ( turbidity meter, flow meter, pH meter, temperature meter, head loss meter, high/low alarm)
