The Park Doctrine is controversial because it allows the conviction of corporate officers who were neither aware of nor involved in the underlying criminal activity. Do you agree with a law that could hold criminally responsible a senior manager for activity happening "on his/her watch" that should could have prevented, even if s/he is unaware of the illegal behavior? What are the strongest arguments in support of this doctrine? What are the strongest arguments against it? What, if any, limits would you place on prosecutors' discretion to charge corporate officers with Park Doctrine violations?
