The parts arrive at Machine 1. After processing is completed, the parts are stored in buffer area. The maximum buffer capacity is 5. As soon as machine 2 is available, the part enters machine 2 (M2) area. During processing, the machine 2 (M2) fails due to damage to the part. The damaged part leaves the system and is stored in "scrap" buffer. If there is no machine breakdown during processing, the part is converted to finished product and this product is stored in "finished parts" buffer after processing is complete.
