The question is to respond to this initial post (additional findings of this post for a debate)

The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) is responsible for the health and safety of all the residents and visitors in Florida. Miami-Dade County Department of Health is the local department of health I abide by as I am a resident of this county. The FDOH and DOH-Miami-Dade work hand in hand together. FDOH provides service at a state level, as where DOH-Miami-Dade services at a local level. FDOH has 255 health department sites throughout the state, 22 Children Medical Services, 12 Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) regional offices, 9 disability determination offices and 3 public health laboratories (Florida Health, 2019). While Miami-Dade Health Department has 67 county health departments, which services over 2.5 million residents (Florida Health, 2019). The responsibilities of both the FDOH and DOH-Miami-Dade are as follows: prevention and control of epidemics, protection against environmental hazards, prevent injuries, promote and encourage healthy behaviors, respond to disasters and assist in recovery and assure quality and accessibility of health care (Florida Health, 2019). In Miami-Dade County the drinking water, the sewage treatments and biomedical waste is all part of the local department of health responsibility. Water is a key fact to our health and safety. Part of Miami-Dade County Health Department services include Women, infants and children (WIC), clinical services , wellness programs , community health planning, environmental health, emergency preparedness and response , infectious disease services, and community health centers (Florida Health, 2019). The FDOH makes sure to be responsive to the states governor and legislator regarding services provided, funding, and delivery (Florida Health, 2019).
