The question then is "How do you define what makes someone a truly effective leader, one who inspires, motivates and lets those in their charge become the best that they can be? The answer can best be found by contrasting and comparing the attitudes and behaviors of a good vs. a bad leader."

Your assignment:

3-4 page paper that compellingly, clearly and articulately addresses the following 5 points:

1. Explain the value that a good leader brings to the organization that he or she works for

2. Detail the specific attributes of good leadership, and by contrast the specific attributes or actions of a bad leader

3. Provide an example of a personal experience that you had with either a good leader or a bad one, and what you learned from that experience

4. Do some research on a well-know person who you believe is a truly effective leader (ex. Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Pope Francis) and explain why you believe that he or she is a good leader, and what the key attributes and actions are that he or she displays that have persuaded you of their effectiveness.

5. By way of summarizing your learning's and research, clearly and thoroughly define what you believe makes for an effective leader, i.e. their manner, attitudes, philosophy, actions.
