Question:
The Role-play technique is a great way to assess behaviors and promote a better understanding of changing the behavior for correction . even though some role-playing techniques could have complimented a parent support group. One role-play technique that could be used is supplementary role play, such as doubling—for example, a group of parents of preschool children with hearing loss. As a parent, trying to care for a preschool-age child with hearing loss can be a significant challenge. It can affect the communication between parent and child, stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, loneliness, and pressure. Rena (1998) states that "difficulties can be an emotional burden on the parents and create increasing sense of fatigue and burnout. Most parents find few channels through which to express these feelings" .
