Research Problems
The inadequate infrastructure and process challenges in the community's healthcare system create significant barriers to effective healthcare delivery. These challenges include inadequate referral systems, management inefficiencies, and their collective impact on patient access and quality of care. Additionally, they contribute to increased strain on healthcare providers and underscore systemic challenges in healthcare delivery, necessitating comprehensive policy interventions to address these issues and ensure equitable access to quality care for all members of the community.
The implementation and coverage of WardBased Outreach Teams WBOTs face major hurdles that hinder their ability to effectively deliver primary healthcare services. These challenges include inadequate training for community health workers CHWs staff shortages due to budget limitations and difficulties recruiting staff, as well as insufficient supervision and support for CHWs These issues result in gaps in CHWs knowledge and skills, increased workloads and delays in service delivery, and compromised quality of care and community trust. It is important to address these challenges in order to increase the capacity and impact of WBOTs in providing communities with crucial healthcare services.
The community's health system grapples with leadership and governance challenges, hindering effective decisionmaking and oversight. Fragmented decisionmaking, weak governance mechanisms, and limited transparency result in inefficient resource allocation, lack of accountability, and compromised quality of care. These systemic issues impede efforts to address community health needs comprehensively and achieve equitable health outcomes.
