A group of Research Methods students at Pearson University are interested in examining factors which influence level of work-related stress among managers at multinational companies in Klang Valley. A total of 300 managers have been identified as study participants referring to the population frame obtained from their respective human resource departments. Based on a preliminary analysis of related research articles from national and international sources, it has been highlighted that workload is one of key elements which can influence employees' level of work stress. This is particularly emphasized by Krishnan's (2019) study among managers in manufacturing organizations which indicated a strong relationship between workload and work-related stress level. Similarly, a study conducted by Maryam (2018), revealed that employees who are burdened with huge workload have been proven to face obstacles in managing their work-related stress level. As a result, it had badly affected their work performance. In addition, other researchers reported that motivation is possibly another pertinent factor which can have an impact on work-related stress level among employees. Based on a study conducted by Hassan and Murugam (2020), they discovered that highly motivated workers are more likely to experience less work-related stress while doing their job obligations. Thus, employees confessed that their level of stress is greatly diminished at each time upon receiving rewards and motivation from their supervisors (Hannah, 2018).
In another study, researchers suggested that an encouraging work culture needs to be enhanced among employees in an organization. This is proven based on Chin and Firdaus's (2019) study among executives which determined that employees demonstrate low levels of work-relatedstressfipositiveworkcultureexistsataworkplace. Furthermore,theimportance of emphasizing work culture is highly encouraged particularly among employees who work in an organization which consists of various culturesa n d races (Farah, 2022).
Therefore, the group members believed that the literature reviews discussed in the above mentioned are related to their research title.
