What are the main issues and concerns with the team and what should Tony Marshall do
What are the team's current team norms and are they adequate?
What are the characteristics or attributes that would bring this team to a highperforming level?
What kind of feedback should Tony give to the team? How should he give it How will he help them resolve the teams issues?
CASE STUDY GUIDELINES:
Follow the following four criteria for your case study solution and submission:
IDENTIFYING THE KEY STRATEGIC ISSUE:
In three to four sentences, summarize the key relevant information that you would be addressing. Note that this is not meant to be a summary of the case.
Next, in three to five sentences, identify the root cause of the issue, and support your claim with facts and evidence. Describe the best case, the likely case, and the worstcase scenarios that would result from no action being taken.
GENERATING ALTERNATIVES:
o Think about the actions that can be taken to address the strategic issue identified in the previous step. Describe each alternative action in sentences.
o Support each choice of alternative with references from the reading.
o Describe the pros of each alternative in sentences, followed by the cons, again in sentences.
OFFERING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Select one of the alternatives which would be the most suitable for addressing the issue. Note that you cannot combine all the alternatives.
Specify the decision criteria andor assumptions, with the rationale that serves as a basis for your choice of alternative, in to sentences.
State the recommended course of action and describe why it is the best solution for meeting your goal. Specify why other alternatives would not be as effective as this one. This should be written in no more than to sentences.
PREPARING A PLAN OF ACTION:
Describe how the manager can implement the recommended course of action.
Include the following:
Goals
Who does what
Timeframe for each activity
Measures of success
Possible coordination issues
Possible challenges that need to be considered to implement the solution
