This assessment must be completed in a group setting.
You are required to deliver a formal group presentation to the class, showcasing a case study relating to the use of information technology in a business or institutional context.
Form a group of four to five students in during week three session and provide a list of group members to your lecturer.
In week your group must identify and select a realworld case study that illustrates various aspects of IT ethics, whether in the breach or observance. Examples are cybersecurity and fraud, as with Optus and Medibank; or the improper use of IT with Robodebt. There are many Australian and international examples.
In all cases, you must have your case selection approved by your lecturer. Be prepared to explain the background, details of the actual case study, the ethical considerations at stake, and why the practices described created an ethical concern. The briefing you give your lecturer will assist in clarifying your thoughts about the case and how you will go about preparing your presentation.
Schedule group meetings in weeks and to prepare a PowerPoint presentation on the case study that your group has chosen.
Every group member MUST contribute equally to the preparation and presentation of the materials. All group members should collaborate, respectfully communicate, share ideas and participate in collective decision making. Each member must complete at least one of the five aspects of the presentation stated in point below.

The first slide of your presentation should include the names and photos of each group member.
The second slide should show the name of the case study organization at the top of the slide. The remaining slides should contain a brief description of the organization and the perceived ethical issues.
You MUST address the following in your presentation. Failure to address any point will result in deduction of marks for every group member

Identify ethical issues of concern with respect to the organization.
Examine the situation that led to the concern.
Provide an explanation of how the issues came about.
Determine the consequences of the ethical issue on stakeholders and the organization.
Conduct an evaluation of issues considering the ethical standards covered in the unit. You may wish to speculate on the intentions of the individuals involved, the impact of the issue on other people, organizations and potentially society at large.
Make suggestions on appropriate remedial actionspolicy and procedure changes to address the situation.
