This assignment will evaluate the following course learning outcomes:

(CLO 3) Discuss the scope management planning tasks, their relationships and dependencies.

(CLO 4) Create scope planning documents and templates including scope statements, requirements management, and work breakdown structures.

Directions To complete the assignment, you will use the following project.

You are in charge of organizing a dinner-dance event for a local charity. You have reserved a hall that will seat 300 couples and have hired a jazz band. Develop a Scope Statement for this project that contains examples of all the elements of the project. Assume that the event will occur in 4 weeks and provide your best guess estimate of the dates for milestones. You can make assumptions about the project. For example, whether or not ticket printing and/or sales are part of the project. Use the course materials, including the scope statement template, and readings to complete this exercise.
