you will draft a resume intended for a specific job advertisement.

1. Locate a job description in your desired field (could be an internship, part-time, or full-time position); try searching newspaper classifieds, UNO Career Connect, careerbuilder.com, monster.com, collegegrad.com or other similar sites. The job does not have to be local, but it should be a job you currently meet the qualifications for. The job ad is for the purpose of completing the assignment and to help you write for a targeted audience. You do not have to actually apply or submit your resume, though you may do so if you wish. Turn the job description in with your resume or type the specific job position details into the comments section when you submit your resume.
2. Make or save a printed or digital copy of the complete job advertisement and description. Job ads are frequently posted and removed, so be sure to somehow save a copy of it.
3. Draft a one-page resume with either an objectiveor summary of qualifications aimed at the specific position in your job advertisement.
4. Pay careful attention to the language used in the job description and try to echo some of the key words throughout your resume.
