This is a great discussion topic this week for me! I found that I really struggled to get through the readings with a clear understanding of how everything worked. There was so much information that I found it hard to really determine what it was I was supposed to know. Amazing how a quick 5-minute video can bring understanding.

What do you find interesting or surprising about the information in the video?

They way Professor Wolters tied in one step of the research process into the other I found interesting. Like, how you can't have step 2, designing the research without first doing step 1, defining the objectives & research needs.

What did I learn from the video?

From the video I learned that you could do more than one type of market research and get two different outcomes. As the example with hamburgers the professor in the video used, people said they like Big Macs but the other data they collected said people weren't buying them. The objective in the first step was to figure out how to sell more hamburgers but through the market research they were able to narrow it down and focus on why people like Big Macs but aren't buying them.

Do you agree or disagree?
