FedEx and UPS are multinational fortune 500 companies and are the largest global delivery services.

FedEx will strive to develop mutually rewarding relationships with its team members, partners and suppliers. Corporate activities will be conducted to the highest ethical and professional standards. The companys values are people, service, innovation, integrity, responsibility, loyalty and safety. The company operates safely to protect team members, customers, infrastructure, and equipment (FedEx).

UPS values, mission, and strategy statements provide guidance to their daily decisions. The company makes clear priorities and encourage to seize new opportunities. Following these principles, UPS actions are aligned to meet the needs of the company, people, customers, shareowners, and communities. UPS core values are integrity, teamwork, service, quality and efficiency, safety, and sustainability (UPS).

Although each company may articulate its core values differently, they are both in the same industry of delivery/courier. Both companies have their own set of specialties and focused on different strengths, which is why they have very different corporate cultures. In fact, companies that perform high revenues and are gaining the admiration of their peers declare to have founded their business practice on social-responsibility-oriented values (Barchiesi & La Bella, 2014).

Based on both companies values, they strive to respect people and have strong business practices that align with my values. For me, integrity is very important, and if these values are being proven within the companies, my values align with their business practices.
