This project is based on running case in your text book, which starts end of the chapter 4 page 196 and continues through chapter 13.
There are two parts of this evaluation.
- Group Project Part 3
- Group Project Presentation Part 3
Please pay close attention to instructions of each part.
1. Group Project Part 3
Part 3 of this project, your team is expected to produce the following deliverable:
- Team Charter and Pledge form - every group member must complete/sign the attached team charter and pledge form. Please see page 110 Table 3-8 for an example of the Team Charter. Please note that team charter and pledge form is a pre-requisite for all of the deliverables for this project. If a group fails to submit the completed form, the group will receive a zero for this part of the evaluation.

Prepare a RACI chart for the four WBS activities listed in Chapter Project Resource Management. You decide that one person should be accountable for each of these four activities, spreading the work between you, Kim, Ashok, and Alfreda. Bobby will be informed on each activity, and you will be consulted on the ones you are not accountable for. Document key assumptions you make in preparing the chart.
-
Prepare a Communications management plan to address some of the challenges mentioned in Part 7 of the case.
- Create a risk register for the project, using Table 11-4 and the data after it as a guide. Identify six potential risks, including risks related to the problems described in the preceding paragraph. Include three negative and three positive risks. Describe the risks using the format: "Because of
, might occur, which would lead to ." - Plot the six risks on a probability/impact matrix, using Figure 11-5 as a guide. Also assign a numeric value for the probability that a risk will occur and the impact of each risk on meeting the main project objectives. Use a scale of 1 to 10 to assign the values, with 1 representing the lowest value. For a simple risk factor calculation, multiply the probability score and the impact score. Add a column called Risk Score to your risk register to the right of the impact column. Enter the new data in the risk register. Write your rationale for how you determined the scores for one of the negative risks and one of the positive risks.

Send out Meeting Minutes. You will need to hold one or more meeting to plan and work on project deliverables. Your group leader should capture minutes from these meetings and send out an an email to all team members and your professor. You can use the template found in eConestoga Course Shell -> Content -> Course Information -> eText->Templates by Process group. Your minutes should include the following:
Agenda an exact copy of the meeting agenda, including allotted times
Attendees who attended, who was absent, who came as a guest
Summaries of each agenda item discussed detailed enough so that anyone who was not present would get the gist by reading the minutes
Action items the next steps agreed upon during the meeting, including what needs to be done by who and by when
Combine all meeting minutes in one word file and upload as submission.
Steps to Complete Part 3 of this Project:
Step 1 - Select a Group Leader: Your professor has assigned randomly 4 students/group. As a group, have a discussion among your team and select a Group Leader for your Team. Rest of the students will be Project Team members. Look for a group leader who is a clear Communicator, possess strong Organization Skills, confident, respectful to others, fair, always available to help. Selection process should not take more than 10 minutes.
The Project group leader will be responsible for:
- Assisting other team members with their deliverable.
- Reviewing team members work and providing feedback.
- Collecting deliverable from all team members and submitting those to eConestoga submission folder before deadline.
- Ensuring naming convention and other best practices applied to all documents
- Collect Team Responsibility assignment and tracking worksheet from each team member and combine the data into one file and submit with all other files.
- Taking the lead on team presentation. Group leader will prepare PowerPoint slide deck for team presentation and prepare the team for a successful status update presentation to the Project Sponsor.
