This study speaks about a replenishing setup which resembles one I have recently seen advertised in the retail space, where there is technology in place to manage your inventory levels to set up an auto$-$replenishment system to replace items as they are being bought of the shelf to try and eliminate waste. Although it is cool in theory, I think it does not solve the problem. It would be good to supplement this tech to what a supply manager is already doing managing their inventory, but I would challenge that this tech does not alleviate issues created from delays and manufacturer shortages. I do not believe one method solely is a fit all type of solution as you have to mix it up depending on your situation, and it may require critical thinking in order to stay ahead of potential inventory issues.
