Besides direct care of patients, "physicians determine admissions to the hospital; lengths of stay; the use of ancillary services and prescription drugs; referrals to specialists; and even the necessity for services in nonhospital settings, such as home care" (Feldstein, 2019, p. 43). Consider all of the problems and potential solutions regarding physicians' role in healthcare that are described in your textbook. What couple of changes would you recommend that could make a big difference in the quality and cost of healthcare delivery. Make a logically convincing case for your recommendations.
